Baptiste Hildebrand is a Lecturer at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science and Medicine, University of Fribourg. His research focuses on electronic structure analysis, charge density waves, and surface phenomena in low-dimensional materials.
Research Interests: Baptiste investigates quantum materials like transition metal dichalcogenides (1T−TiSe2, IrTe2), exploring charge order, phase transitions, and defect-induced electronic effects using scanning tunneling microscopy (STM), photoemission, and theoretical modeling.
Recent Publications highlight studies on strain-controlled topological phases, structural origins of charge order, and defect resilience in 2D systems. Key journals include Physical Review Letters and Physical Review B.
