Dr. Balarko Chaudhuri is a Professor of Power Systems at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Imperial College London. He leads cutting-edge research on dynamic stability of electric power grids with high shares of renewables and inverter-based resources, critical for achieving net-zero energy systems. As UK Director of the Global Centre on Electric Power Innovation for a Carbon-Free Society (EPICS) and co-leader of the Global Power System Transformation (G-PST) consortium's workforce development pillar, he drives collaborative efforts to modernize global power systems.
