Bala Maheswaran

Bala Maheswaran is a COE Distinguished Teaching Professor at Northeastern University's College of Engineering, affiliated with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the First-Year Engineering Program. He holds an M.S., Ph.D. in experimental solid-state physics, and an MSEE from Northeastern University. His research focuses on experiential engineering education, energy system innovations, and medical engineering design through prototyping. He has over 130 publications, with recent work emphasizing sustainability, wearable technology, and project-based learning.
