Bahram Khalili is a Professor of Instruction and Graduate Advisor in the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department at the University of Texas at Arlington. He joined UTA in 2003 after 18 years of industry experience, including roles at Fidelity Investments and Mobil Oil. His expertise spans software engineering, distributed systems, and agile methodologies.
Education: PhD in Computer Science (1996, Southern Methodist University), MS in Computer Science (1991, SMU), and BS in Computer Science & Combinatorics (1984, University of Waterloo).
Research focuses on software engineering pedagogy, agile methodologies, distributed systems design, and protocol development. He has contributed to federal grants like the GAANN Doctoral Fellowships in IoT and Assistive Technologies.
Teaching includes courses like Advanced Topics in Software Engineering, Agile Software Development, and Fundamentals of Software Engineering. Recognized as Graduate Advisor of the Year (2017) and nominated in 2021.
