Dr Bahman Amini Horri is an Associate Professor of Energy Materials and Sustainability at the University of Surrey, leading the MSc Sustainable Energy program in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. He is also a Sustainability Fellow at the Institute for Sustainability and an adjunct research fellow at Monash University. His research focuses on nanocomposite materials for clean energy applications, including green hydrogen production via solid oxide fuel cells/electrolysers (SOFC/SOEC) and thermo-electrochemical water splitting. He holds 7 patents, 60+ journal papers, 5 book chapters, and has secured over £2 million in grants from EPSRC, Royal Academy of Engineering, and industry partners. His recent innovations include a hybrid water-splitting process for efficient green hydrogen generation. He earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Monash University (2012) and holds CEng, CSci, and FHEA qualifications.
