Bahar Gokpinar is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Turkish Language and Literature within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Yeditepe University. She holds a PhD in Turkish Literature from Bilkent University and has been affiliated with Yeditepe since 2011, initially as a Research Assistant and later advancing to doctoral lecturer roles.

Publications: Authored or edited over 10 books, including Osmanlı Yazınında Erkek-lik(ler) Kurgusu (2018) and Kadın Özel Arşivlerinde 40 Kadın 40 Hayat (2022). Her articles explore topics like Ottoman mentalities, literary symbolism, and feminist historiography. Recent work emphasizes 19th-century social transformations and Ottoman women's roles.
Academic Leadership: Supervised 9+ master's and doctoral theses at Yeditepe University. Served as FEDEK coordinator (2016) and is a member of the Ottoman and Turkish Studies Association (OTSA, 2010–2016) and Women’s Life Writing Network (WLN, 2014–present).
