Babu Welch

Babu Welch is a Clinical Professor and Director of the UT Southwestern Microvascular Laboratory at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. His expertise focuses on cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery, including aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, carotid disease, and stroke treatment. He collaborates internationally with the Utrecht Medical Center in the Netherlands, pioneering laser-assisted cerebrovascular bypass techniques since 2008. Dr. Welch trained at Howard University College of Medicine and completed neurosurgical residency at George Washington University Medical Center, followed by a cerebrovascular/endovascular fellowship at UT Southwestern.
