Dr. Bedri Kaysadu is a Lecturer and faculty member at Bingöl University's Basic Islamic Sciences Department, affiliated with the Qiraat Education Application and Research Center. Born in Bingöl in 1973, he holds a PhD from Van Yüzüncü Yıl University (2023), focusing on the influence of Quranic recitation variations on understanding the Quran through Ibn Kathir's methodology. His academic journey includes degrees from Anadolu University (Business Administration, 2003), Ankara University (Theology, 2011), and a Master's from Dicle University (Kalam, 2013).
His research interests center on Quranic exegesis (Tafsir), Islamic recitation (Kiraat) studies, and classical Islamic theological methods. He has published works on Quranic recitation's impact on interpretation, Tafsir methodologies, and Naskh (abrogation) in Islamic law. His doctoral thesis explores the role of Kiraat variations in Quranic understanding through Ibn Kathir’s scholarship.
Prior to academia, Kaysadu served in religious roles including Imam-Hatip in Elâzığ (2000–2011), a religious officer in Wolfsburg, Germany (2011–2016), and has been Bingöl’s Provincial Preacher since 2016. He currently works at the Bingöl Probation Office as a Spiritual Guide.
