Assoc. Prof. Baris Karaoğlu is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Bingol University, specializing in Sports Psychology, Disability Sports, and Physical Education Pedagogy. He holds a PhD from Erciyes University (2019), following his MSc (2015) and BSc (2012) in the same field.
His research focuses on psychological aspects of sports performance, inclusive education for disabled athletes, and organizational dynamics in sports institutions. Notable studies include investigations into mental toughness in footballers, metacognitive awareness among teacher candidates, and mindfulness practices in sports education. He has contributed to over 24 peer-reviewed articles and 23 conference presentations since 2016.
He actively participates in academic events such as the INTE International Conference on New Horizons in Education and ERPA Congresses. His teaching portfolio includes courses like 'Physical Education for Disabled Individuals' and 'Sports Management Comparisons.' He has led research projects on mental training in professional football and co-authored multiple books on sport sciences.
