Bünyamin ALIM is an Associate Professor in the Electricity and Energy Program at Bayburt University's Vocational School of Technical Sciences. He holds multiple administrative roles, including Director of the Institute of Postgraduate Education, Manager of the Career Planning Application and Research Center, and Head of several departments (Physics, Physics Doctorate Program, and Physics Thesis Master Program). His research focuses on radiation shielding materials, spectroscopic properties of materials, and photon/particle interaction dynamics.
Key research areas include radiation protection in nuclear applications, material characterization for neutron and gamma shielding, and the development of novel composites (e.g., glasses, alloys). His work bridges experimental validation and theoretical modeling, with contributions to understanding alloy behavior under radiation and material optimization for medical and industrial use.
ALIM is actively involved in academic governance, serving on boards for graduate education, career planning, and disciplinary committees. His interdisciplinary approach integrates physics, materials science, and engineering, addressing challenges in both fundamental and applied research.
