Azizi Arrington-Slocum

Azizi Arrington-Slocum is an Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Interior Architecture Design program at Indiana State University’s College of Technology, Department of Built Environment. She has been teaching since 2011, emphasizing hands-on, collaborative learning rooted in poetry-inspired design principles. Her work bridges technical skills (e.g., construction codes, hand drafting) with creative problem-solving, focusing on residential, commercial, and healthcare spaces.

Education: B.A. and M.A. in Florida, with licensure as an architect and registered interior designer. Prior to academia, she practiced as a project manager at Johnson Peterson Architects in Tallahassee, Florida, and served as an adjunct professor at Florida A&M University and Tallahassee Community College.
