Azim Houshyar

Azim Houshyar is Professor in the Department of Industrial and Entrepreneurial Engineering and Engineering Management at Western Michigan University. He holds a PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida.

His research encompasses reliability engineering, manufacturing simulation, facilities planning, and supply chain management. Houshyar's publications frequently employ simulation methodologies to analyze industrial systems, maintenance strategies, and operations optimization.

Professional leadership includes serving as Editor-in-Chief for the International Journal of Modelling and Simulation (1999-2010) and membership in industrial engineering honor societies including Alpha Pi Mu and Tau Beta Pi.
