Azer Banu Kemaloğlu

Assoc. Prof. Azer Banu Kemaloğlu holds a permanent academic position at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (English Language and Literature Department). She has served since 2021 as Associate Professor and concurrently directs the Turkish Australian Studies Research Center under the Rectorate since 2018. Her academic journey includes a PhD from Van Yuzuncu Yil University (2007), a Master's from Rutgers University (2000), and a BA from Hacettepe University (1992).

Her research focuses on British Commonwealth literature with particular emphasis on Gallipoli Campaign narratives, Victorian/Modernist texts, and cultural studies. Key interests include trauma studies, postcolonial discourse, gender analysis, and intercultural memory. She has published 38 peer-reviewed articles, co-authored funded TUBITAK projects (2013-2017), and presented at international conferences in Canada, Australia, and across Turkey.
