معرفی
Aytaç Arıkoğlu is a Professor in the Department of Aeronautical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University. His research focuses on vibration analysis, structural dynamics, and numerical methods like the Generalized Differential Quadrature Method (GDQM). He has contributed to studies on composite materials, viscoelastic cores, and railway track dynamics, with applications in aerospace and civil engineering.
Research Interests: Dr. Arıkoğlu specializes in advanced numerical techniques for structural analysis, including nonlinear dynamic modeling of composite beams and plates, thermal buckling of plates, and viscoelastic material behavior. His work integrates experimental validation with computational methods, addressing challenges in railway infrastructure and aerospace systems.
Projects & Grants: He has led projects on carbon fiber lattice sandwich structures for helmet systems and nanocomposite interfacial analysis using hybrid molecular dynamics/finite element methods, funded by TUBITAK and BAP. Currently overseeing 8 ongoing theses, his research bridges theoretical modeling and practical engineering applications.
Labs & Teams: Engaged in collaborative research on advanced materials and structural systems, though specific lab affiliations are not detailed here.
