Ayoub Daliri is an Associate Professor of Speech and Hearing Science at Arizona State University's College of Health Solutions. He holds an interdisciplinary faculty appointment in the School of Life Sciences. His research focuses on neural mechanisms underlying speech production, particularly stuttering and motor learning. Using EEG, fMRI, and computational techniques, his lab investigates how brain regions coordinate speech and identifies atypical neural patterns in individuals who stutter.
Dr. Daliri’s work aims to develop evidence-based treatments for speech disorders. He teaches courses like Speech Science (SHS 375) and supervises graduate research (e.g., SHS 592, 792). His research website is speech.lab.asu.edu, and Google Scholar profile: here.
Research interests include auditory-motor integration, speech motor control, and neurorehabilitation. Recent studies explore feedback mechanisms in Parkinson’s disease and aphasia recovery. His lab emphasizes quantitative methods like EEG classification and computational modeling to bridge theory and clinical application.
