Aymeric Histace serves as Professor at ENSEA and Deputy Scientific Director for Interdisciplinarity and interfaces at ETIS laboratory (CNRS/CY Cergy Paris University/ENSEA), with responsibilities including GDR monitoring and CID referent duties.
He defended his thesis in 2004 followed by ATER position at University of Angers' LARIS laboratory. Appointed professor in 2015, he led ETIS's CELL team from 2017-2023 and served on ANR's "Mathematics and Digital Sciences for Biology and Health" Expert Committee (2019-2022), becoming vice-president in 2021.
His research specializes in computer vision techniques including segmentation, pattern recognition, and machine learning applied to biological and healthcare challenges. This work directly enabled the 2019 co-founding of Augmented Endoscopy company through an AP-HP/ETIS collaboration initiated in 2012, focusing on intestinal pathology screening via videoendoscopy.
Dr. Histace maintains active leadership in national research strategy through ANR channels while directing translational medical imaging projects at ETIS laboratory, where his CELL team (2017-2023) advanced event data processing for clinical applications.
