Ayman Omar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Technology & Analytics at American University and a Research Fellow at the Kogod Cybersecurity Governance Center (KCGC).
His educational background includes a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management and Logistics from the University of Tennessee, an MBA from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from The American University in Cairo.
Professor Omar's research centers on global supply chain management, with a focus on supply chain integration and responsiveness, cyber risks in global supply chains, and sustainability in global supply chains. Prior to his academic career, he worked in the oil industry and provided consulting services to Fortune 100 companies and small privately owned firms.
He is actively involved with the Kogod Cybersecurity Governance Center (KCGC), where his work addresses cybersecurity challenges within global supply chains.
