Prof. Dr. Ayla Yava is a full-time academic in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Hasan Kalyoncu University. She holds a PhD, Master's, and Undergraduate degree in Surgical Diseases Nursing from Gülhane Military Medical Academy.
- Current roles: Director of the Institute of Health Sciences
- Previous roles: Head of Surgical Nursing Department, Director of Nursing Department
Research Focus: Surgical nursing, health literacy, cultural competence, patient education, and critical care. Her recent work examines postoperative recovery protocols, pressure injury management, and transcultural nursing education.
Scientific Awards:
- Oral presentation first prize for blood donation cultural perspectives
- Second place award for phlebitis knowledge assessment
- Third prize for preoperative fasting effects research
Scientific Activities: Active member of Nursing Education Association, HEPDAK, Urology Nurses Association, and cardiovascular surgical nursing organizations.
