Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayhan KOCAMAN is a faculty member at Karabük University's Faculty of Engineering, Department of Environmental Engineering. He holds a doctoral degree from Atatürk University and has served as an Associate Professor since 2023. His academic career includes roles as a Doctor Lecturer and head of the Department of Environmental Engineering. He has authored/co-authored 34+ publications with an h-index of 8.
Education: PhD (Environmental Sciences, Atatürk University, 2010), MSc (Environmental Engineering, Atatürk University, 2004), BSc (Soil Science, Atatürk University, 2000).
Research focuses on environmental biotechnology, heavy metal remediation, and sustainable agriculture. Key projects include bioremediation strategies using microbial isolates, vermicompost development, and industrial wastewater treatment innovations. He advises three graduate students and has led 11 research projects on topics like landfill leachate treatment and biofuel additives.
Teaching responsibilities include courses in environmental protection, pollution control, and sustainable waste management. He also serves as Dean of the Vocational School at Karabük University since 2021.
