Ayala Rogany serves as an Associate Lecturer at the School of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences, University of Queensland (UQ), while concurrently holding clinical leadership roles as Clinical Leader of Paediatric Obesity Services in Queensland and Clinical Educator at Queensland Children's Hospital (QCH) and Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQ HHS). As an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with clinical experience since 2006, she bridges academic, clinical, and educational domains in pediatric healthcare.
Her research centers on pediatric nutrition, childhood obesity, electronic medical records, and artificial intelligence applications. She is currently conducting an MPhil project analyzing childhood growth trends through Queensland hospital electronic health records (2014-2018), supervised by Associate Professor Robyn Littlewood and Dr. Jacqueline Walker. This work exemplifies her focus on leveraging digital health data for pediatric obesity interventions.
Rogany actively mentors future dietitians through university lectures across South East Queensland institutions and contributes to the National Paediatric Dietetic Training Course (ChildD & DAA). Her clinical leadership in Queensland's obesity services drives evidence-based program development, while her academic role at UQ integrates real-world clinical insights into nutrition education.
