Axel Wieandt

Professor Axel Wieandt has been an Honorary Professor at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management since 2005 and has served as a visiting lecturer on financial intermediaries since 2002. He holds a Graduate in Business Management from WHU (1990), an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management (1992), and a PhD (Dr. rer. pol.) from WHU (1993).

His career spans leadership roles at major financial institutions, including McKinsey & Company, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank AG (where he became the youngest divisional board member in 2000), Hypo Real Estate Holding AG, and Valovis Bank AG. He has also held positions as Global Head of Corporate Investments and Managing Director in Credit Suisse's Investment Banking Department.

Wieandt's research focuses on corporate finance, banking strategy, and financial markets. He regularly contributes to leading scientific journals, though specific publications are not listed here. His academic activities include lectures at WHU and continuing education events.
