Axel Schlenk

Axel Schlenk is a Professor at the University of Public Administration and Finance Ludwigsburg since 2018 and Vice Dean III of Faculty II since September 2023. His academic focus lies in Property and Transaction Taxes, with a specialization in Income Taxes, Valuation Law, and Wealth Taxation. Previously, he worked as a lecturer in private law at the same university (2012–2018) and held senior roles in financial administration in Baden-Württemberg (2005–2018).

His research interests include the legal frameworks of taxation, with a focus on household-related income tax provisions (§35a EStG), liability claims in tax administration, and the interpretation of tax code requirements. As a former research assistant (1999–2005) and senior civil servant, Schlenk bridges academic rigor with practical experience in tax law and financial governance.
