معرفی
Axel Eriksson is a Senior Lecturer at Lund University's Department of Ergonomics and Aerosol Technology, affiliated with the Faculty of Engineering (LTH). He holds roles as Principal Investigator in NanoLund and MERGE, and Associate Senior Lecturer in Metalund. His research focuses on aerosol technology, nanoparticle characterization, and environmental science, with contributions to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to climate action and clean energy.
Research Interests
- Aerosol particles and soot behavior in atmospheric processes
- X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) for in-flight nanoparticle analysis
- Nanoparticle synthesis and surface oxidation
- Health impacts of biomass and diesel emissions
Key Projects (2023–2026)
- Sekundär organisk aerosol - partikelytor studerade i realtid vid MAX IV (Crafoord Foundation)
- Luftburen metallexponering på arbetsplatser: partikelkällor, processer och åtgärder (AFA-insurances)
- Aerosol@MAXIV – In-flight XPS of engineered aerosol nanoparticles (Swedish Research Council)
Collaborations & Activities
Organized workshops on aerosol science (e.g., LTH AEROSOLS Workshop, Black Carbon Air Pollution Symposium) and presented invited talks on in-situ aerosol measurements. Collaborates internationally on aerosol composition and climate impact studies.
Labs & Teams
Active in Lund University’s aerosol research groups, including the LTH Profile Areas for Aerosols, Nanoscience, and Energy Transition.
