Avtar Singh is a Researcher III in Mechanical Engineering at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory's Center for Energy Conversion and Storage Systems. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee.
His research focuses on enhancing safety and performance of next-generation batteries including lithium-ion, sodium-ion, potassium-ion, and solid-state systems through microstructure characterization, material property analysis, and multiphysics modeling. Key interests include:
