Aviv Bergman

Aviv Bergman is a Professor in the Department of Systems & Computational Biology, Department of Pathology, and Dominick P. Purpura Department of Neuroscience at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He serves as Chair of the Department of Systems & Computational Biology and holds the Harold and Muriel Block Chair in Systems & Computational Biology. He is also Director of the Albert Einstein Institute for Advanced Study in the Life Sciences.

His research focuses on quantitative problems in evolutionary and developmental biology, employing computational, mathematical, and experimental tools. Key areas include gene network analysis, evolutionary systems biology, and the integration of genomic data to refine biological models.
