Avinash Dongare

Avinash Dongare is an Associate Professor in the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at the University of Connecticut. His research focuses on computational materials science, including density functional theory simulations, molecular dynamics, and mesoscale modeling. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Virginia (2008).

Dr. Dongare’s research interests span electronic properties, phase stability, deformation behavior, and phase transformations in materials. His work integrates multiscale modeling approaches such as quasi-coarse-graining and kinetic Monte Carlo simulations.
