Avanti Sethi

Avanti Sethi is a Clinical Associate Professor of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas), affiliated with the Naveen Jindal School of Management. She has held this position continuously since 2007. Her expertise lies in supply chain operations, operations research, and scheduling algorithms. Sethi holds a Ph.D. in Operations Research from Carnegie Mellon University (2018), along with multiple advanced degrees in physics and mathematics from prestigious institutions in India.

Her research focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes, scheduling methodologies, and educational technology integration. Notable achievements include pioneering flexible course scheduling reforms at her institution, which contributed to significant enrollment growth. She played a key role in establishing the Management Information Systems (MIS) major and led AACSB accreditation efforts.
