Austin W. Duncan is an Assistant Professor of Disability Independence in the College of Health at Lehigh University. He specializes in medical and disability anthropology, focusing on the social and cultural dimensions of neurodiversity and health disparities linked to invisible disabilities. His research explores how qualitative aspects of social networks impact individuals living with neurological differences and impairments.
Duncan received his training in medical and sociocultural anthropology at the University of Arizona’s School of Anthropology. He teaches courses such as
