Aurore Paligot is a linguist specializing in sign language linguistics, particularly focusing on French Belgian Sign Language (LSFB). She held the position of PhD Researcher at the University of Namur's LSFB-Lab from November 2011 to March 2018, supported by a F.R.S.-FNRS research grant. Her doctoral work examined register variation in LSFB through phonetic and phonological analysis, leveraging the LSFB Corpus. She collaborated on the Lex-LSFB and LSFB Annotations projects, contributing to corpus development and sociolinguistic research.
Education: PhD in Languages, Literature, and Translation (UNamur, 2018); M.A. in Linguistics (ULB, 2011); B.A. in French and Romance Languages (FUNDP, 2009).
Research interests include sociolinguistics, corpus linguistics, phonetics/phonology, and signed language variation. She actively participates in professional organizations like the Sign Language Linguistics Society and FNRS work groups.
