Professor DEGRÉ specializes in hydrology and soil physics, with research focusing on water-soil-plant exchanges and the hydrological functioning of territories. Her work examines the impact of agricultural land management, forests, and urban green spaces on the water cycle. She employs nature-based solutions and regenerative hydrology techniques across various spatial and temporal scales in soil conservation research.
She began her academic career as an assistant at the University of Mons and Faculty of Gembloux, started teaching in 2007, became a lecturer in 2012, professor in 2019, and full professor in 2021. She has served as Vice-Dean for Teaching since 2015, with re-elections in 2017 and 2021 for four-year terms.
