Stephane Dondeyne is a Visiting Professor at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Gembloux Agro-Biotech (ULiège), and Ghent University, and an Adjunct Professor at Padjadjaran University, Indonesia. His primary affiliation is with the Department of Water and Climate at VUB. He specializes in geoarchaeology, soil science, and climate change impacts on land resources, contributing to global soil classification systems (WRB). His research integrates remote sensing, hydrological modeling, and environmental policy analysis.
Research Interests:
- Climate change adaptation in water systems
- Land-use dynamics and vegetation ecology
- Geoarchaeological methodological frameworks
- Natural resource management strategies
Recent work focuses on drought mitigation frameworks (Flanders), transboundary water management in the Omo-Turkana Basin, and remote sensing applications in Ethiopia and Tanzania. Presentations at EGU General Assemblies highlight his engagement in international scientific collaboration.
