Audrius Dėdelė

Audrius Dėdelė is a Professor at the Department of Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Vytautas Magnus University. He holds a Doctor of Biomedical Sciences degree (2011) and has served as Head of his department since 2015. His research focuses on environmental health, GIS applications, individual exposure to pollutants, and urban life quality factors.

• Education: PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Ecology & Environmental Sciences, 2011).
• Key Projects: Participated in EU-funded initiatives like ESCAPE, PHENOTYPE, HELIX, CitieS-Health, inDust, and the Horizon 2020 ATHLETE project.

His work examines the interplay between urban environments, psychosocial factors, and epigenetic influences on health. He has published over 50 articles in international journals indexed in Web of Science and Scopus.

Scientific Recognition:

• Lithuanian Science Award (2020) for the cycle Urban Environment, Psychosocial, and Epigenetic Factors Impacting Health from Infancy to Adulthood (2005–2019).

He chairs the Doctoral Committee in Ecology and Environmental Sciences and mentors four doctoral students.
