Audrey Seyda ROUSSEAU

Audrey Seyda ROUSSEAU is a PhD student at the Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Solidarity, Societies, Territories (LISST) affiliated with Toulouse Jean Jaurès University, where she has served as a part-time lecturer in the Department of Anthropology from 2016 to 2022 and as an ATER (temporary teaching and research assistant) from 2022 to 2024.

Her research examines contested historical narratives in Mauritius, focusing on how slavery and indentured labor legacies shape contemporary ethnic identity through heritage sites like Morne Brabant and Aapravasi Ghat.
