معرفی
Audrey Sederberg is an Assistant Professor in the School of Psychology at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Her research focuses on theoretical neuroscience, integrating computational models with experimental data to understand neural dynamics in biological and artificial systems. She leads the MaTRIX Laboratory, which examines how neural circuits process information across scales, from single neurons to population-level activity patterns.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Physics, Princeton University (Advisors: William Bialek and Matthias Kaschube)
- B.S. in Physics, Harvey Mudd College (Advisor: Vatche Sahakian)
Research Interests:
- Theoretical frameworks for analyzing high-dimensional neural datasets
- Latent dynamics bridging spiking activity and local field potentials
- Neural criticality and emergent system properties
- Development of sensory cortical circuits
Publications highlight contributions to:
- Real-time cortical state estimation using machine learning
- Role of latent variables in spatiotemporal criticality
- Decoding sensory stimuli in awake mouse cortex
Lab Activities: The MaTRIX Lab emphasizes theory-driven approaches with deep experimental collaboration, addressing questions about neural network robustness, parameter relationships in circuit behavior, and integrating single-cell RNAseq data into circuit models.
