معرفی
Miss Audrey Palosse is a PhD student at the Department of Geography, University of Cambridge, supervised by Prof Ulf Büntgen. Her research focuses on Alpine and arctic vegetation dynamics in the Anthropocene, particularly mechanisms enabling plant survival above treelines.
- Current PhD research: Drivers of alpine vegetation dynamics
- Research Assistant (2022-2023): CzechGlobe – Global Change Research Institute
- Education: MPhil Holocene Climates (Cambridge), BSc Geography (Leeds)
Her work spans cellular to community-level studies of shrubs, tree seedlings, and flowering plants, aiming to understand biogeographic boundaries. Recent publications address climate-induced germination patterns, treeline dynamics, and Mediterranean warming trends.
Key article trends:
- Climate sensitivity of vegetation
- Biogeographic boundary mechanisms
- Paleoclimatology and future projections
- Interdisciplinary approaches to global change
Scientific awards:
- 2024 NERC United Kingdom & Iceland Arctic Science Partnership Scheme
