Audrey Limoges is an Associate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of New Brunswick (UNB). She holds a PhD in Earth Sciences and specializes in climate-driven marine environmental changes. Her research focuses on understanding how climate variations influence marine primary production, sea ice dynamics, and ecosystem resilience.
Her work integrates paleoenvironmental proxies such as diatoms, dinoflagellate cysts, and ancient DNA to reconstruct historical climate-ocean interactions. Key research themes include Arctic polynya dynamics, harmful algal blooms, and the impacts of climate fluctuations on human migration patterns. Limoges collaborates with organizations like Geotop, ArcticNet, and MEOPAR to address coastal hazards and marine productivity dynamics in regions like the St. Lawrence Estuary and Labrador Sea.
Teaching responsibilities include core courses in environmental earth sciences, field-based stratigraphy, climate history, and oceanography.
