Audrey A. Haynes is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Georgia. She also holds the prestigious Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professorship and serves as the Director of the Applied Politics Certificate Program, an interdisciplinary initiative with the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. Additionally, she contributes to the university’s governance as a member of the Athletic Association Board.

Dr. Haynes specializes in research related to presidential campaigns, messaging, and strategy, with publications in top-tier journals like the American Journal of Political Science and American Political Science Review’s P.S. Her work extends to innovative teaching, particularly in public affairs communications and professional skill development, and she is deeply engaged in community outreach through lectures, media appearances, and mentorship.
