Aubrey Tang is a Lecturer at Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, Chapman University, where she teaches courses in film studies, film philosophy, and popular culture. Holding a Ph.D. from UC Irvine with a dissertation on Johnnie To's cinema and phenomenology of the senses, her research explores intersections between Chinese/Sinophone cinemas, postcolonial theory, and sensory perception. She has taught composition and film studies at both undergraduate and graduate levels while simultaneously revising book chapters on Duwun/Dou Wun and Johnnie To's Blind Detective (2013).
