Attila Aszódi is a university professor at the Institute of Nuclear Techniques, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and holds the academic rank of Professor. He served as a Ministerial Commissioner at the Paks Nuclear Power Plant following the 2003 accident and contributed to the European Commission's post-Fukushima nuclear safety stress-tests. From 1999 to 2014, he led the BME Training Reactor and directed the Institute while overseeing thermohydraulics and reactor safety research. His work spans reactor physics, medical physics, and radiation protection, with a focus on nuclear engineering equipment development and public engagement in energy policy.
