Athanasia Niarrou is a Lecturer in Advanced Clinical Practice and Programme Director for the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice and MSc Advanced Clinical Practice Apprenticeship at City St George's, University of London, within the School of Health Sciences, Department of Adult Nursing and Paramedic Science. She joined the university in December 2021 and has been instrumental in shaping the curriculum and delivery of advanced practice education.

In her professional journey, Athanasia transitioned from a clinical role as a Senior Critical Care Nurse at University College London Hospitals to academia in 2020, first at London South Bank University and then at City St George's. As Programme Director, she oversees the academic and operational aspects of the MSc programmes, contributing to modules such as End Point Assessment, ACP Portfolio, Professional Leadership, and Advanced Clinical Assessment. She is also affiliated with key professional bodies including the Nursing and Midwifery Council and the Royal College of Nursing.
Athanasia is fluent in English, Greek, and German, supporting her role in an international academic environment.
