Prof. Atanasko Atanasovski is a Full Professor at the Department of Accounting and Auditing within the Faculty of Economics, St. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. His academic journey includes a PhD in Economics (2013) from the Faculty of Economics in Skopje and a Master's in Accounting and Finance (2010) from London College, University College Kensington.

His research focuses on financial accounting, financial reporting, and accounting regulation, with recent work examining sustainability reporting, blockchain in assurance, and pandemic impacts on auditing. He has published over 20 scientific papers and served as a consultant to the World Bank on accounting and auditing policy in North Macedonia and the SEE region.
His publications highlight interdisciplinary approaches to internal auditing education, ESG disclosures, and the role of emerging technologies like AI and blockchain in accounting. Current trends include regulatory compliance, audit market dynamics, and transparency frameworks.
As an ACCA associate member since 2008, he contributes to professional standards. He has mentored students in accounting and auditing and maintains active collaborations on policy-related research.
