Astri Andresen is a Professor of History at the Department of Archaeology, History, Cultural Studies and Religion at the University of Bergen. Her work focuses on historical analysis with particular emphasis on race studies, medical history, Scandinavian history, Sami-Norwegian relations, and the historiography of academic institutions.
Her research interests include exploring the intersections of race, science, and ideology in Scandinavian contexts, the historical development of medical education, and the representation of minority groups in national narratives.
