Aster Veldkamp is an Associate Professor of Environmental Law at Utrecht University's School of Law, affiliated with the Institute of Constitutional, Administrative Law and Legal Theory. She holds a Master's from Leiden University and a PhD from Utrecht University (1998), specializing in European waste law implementation. Previously, she worked as an environmental legal advisor and senior policy lawyer focusing on circular economy and waste law. Her current roles include teaching in bachelor's/master's programs and supervising research at the Utrecht Centre for Water, Oceans and Sustainability Law (UCWOSL). She also serves as a tutor in the Utrecht Law College Honours Programme.
