معرفی
Assunta Morresi is a Professor leading the Molecular Spectroscopy research group within the Department of Excellence. Her work focuses on structural and dynamical properties across molecular to biological systems using advanced spectroscopic techniques.
Her research spans:
- Biophysics of lipid membranes in liposomes, extracellular vesicles, and cells via ATR-FTIR and microRaman
- Protein denaturation/aggregation studies (amyloid fibrils, hydrogels) using FTIR, Raman, and Brillouin
- MicroRaman diagnostics for cell lines, bone, and cartilage
- Biomolecule hydration analysis through depolarized light scattering
- Biobanking governance and societal implications of human tissue technologies
- Self-assembled system dynamics via nonlinear spectroscopy
- Nanohybrid biomedical applications using SERS
- Electrolyte solutions, ionic liquids, and deep eutectic solvents
- Pharmaceutical vibrational spectroscopy
Her interdisciplinary approach bridges physics, chemistry, and biology with applications in diagnostics, material science, and biomedical engineering.
