Aslynn Halvorson-Weaver is an Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, within the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences and the Department of Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sport Studies. Her research bridges psychology, sociology, and exercise physiology, focusing on female and pediatric populations, particularly concussion recovery in collegiate athletes. She teaches courses like Applied Anatomy and Physiology of Exercise.
- Education: EdD in Kinesiology (UNC Greensboro), MS in Exercise Physiology, and BSED in Kinesiology (University of Tennessee)
Her work employs mixed-methods approaches to analyze biological responses in sport and exercise contexts. She received recognition for developing online instructional resources during the pandemic and served as Program Coordinator at Newberry College prior to her current role. She also holds a distinguished athletic legacy as a six-time SEC scorer and UT Academic Athlete of the Year (2014).
