Asikaa Cosgrove serves as Assistant Professor of Education and Director of Graduate Programs at Drury University's School of Education & Child Development, where he has been a full-time faculty member since 2011 after joining the university community in 2001.
His educational credentials include:
- N.D. in Electronic Engineering from Oaklands College (Borehamwood, UK), 1994
- H.N.D. in Computing (Information Systems) from Brunel University (London, UK), 1997
- M.Ed. in Instructional Technology from Drury University, 2007
- Ph.D. in Information Science & Learning Technologies from the University of Missouri-Columbia, 2016
Dr. Cosgrove's research examines cognitive psychology, motivation, and virtual learning environments, with emphasis on human-computer interface design, online interaction ethics, and instructional technology management. His work bridges educational theory with practical technology implementation in organizational contexts.
As Director of Graduate Programs, he oversees academic curriculum development while actively teaching middle school students in Drury's Summerscape gifted education camp. His industry background as a systems designer at British Telecommunications informs his technology-focused pedagogy.
Outside academia, he pursues gravel biking, metal detecting, and riding his Missouri foxtrotting horse Billy.
