Asif Islam Khan is an Associate Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology, with a courtesy appointment in the School of Materials Science and Engineering. He holds the onsemi Junior Professorship. His research focuses on microelectronic devices, particularly ferroelectric technologies addressing semiconductor industry challenges. He leads a diverse group of six Ph.D. students and three research engineers, many of whom have garnered prestigious awards.
- Education: University Gold Medal recipient from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (2011).
Research interests span ferroelectric materials physics, device fabrication, and applications in AI/ML systems. His work bridges materials science with electronics, aiming to revolutionize data-centric technologies. Over 70 publications appear in journals like Nature Electronics and IEEE Transactions, alongside conference contributions.
