Ashwin Kalra is a Clinical Research Fellow in Gynaecological Oncology and a PhD student at Queen Mary University of London, affiliated with the Wolfson Institute of Population Health. His research focuses on direct-to-patient genetic testing pathways at cancer diagnosis, emphasizing patient-centered, cost-effective approaches. He is part of the Women’s Precision Prevention team led by Prof. Ranjit Manchanda, working within the Centre of Cancer Screening, Prevention and Early Diagnosis.
His research interests include genetic testing, cancer risk prediction and management, prevention strategies, and health economics. His doctoral work is anchored in the DETECT-2 randomized control trial, exploring scalable genetic testing methods.
