Ashvini Nair Sivasengaran is a PhD Research Fellow in the Department of Engineering Sciences at the Faculty of Engineering Sciences, University of Agder, Norway. Her research focuses on optimizing battery technology as part of the battery coast team.
Her educational background includes:
- MSc in Energy Science from Kyoto University, Japan, researching Concentrated Ternary Sodium Salt Electrolyte for Sodium Ion Secondary Batteries.
- M.Phil in Renewable Energy from University of Malaya, Malaysia, researching Numerical Stimulation of Economic and Environmental Impact of Ammonium Aluminium Sulphate Hydrate Thermal Energy Storage.
- BSc in Chemical Engineering (Hons) Process from University of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, researching Coating technology for Lithium Ion Batteries Electrolytes.
Her research interests center on battery technology optimization, with a focus on energy storage systems. She has expertise in sodium-ion and lithium-ion battery technologies, electrolyte engineering, and thermal energy storage for renewable energy applications. Her work aims to improve the efficiency and environmental impact of battery systems.
As a PhD Research Fellow, she is supported by a research fellowship at the University of Agder and is an active member of the battery coast research team.
