Ashraf Yaseen

Ashraf Yaseen is an Associate Professor at the UTHealth Houston School of Public Health in the Department of Biostatistics and Data Science. He is based in Houston, Texas, and works within the Center for Big Data in Health Sciences. Dr. Yaseen is a data scientist with core research and teaching interests in data management and analysis, machine learning, big data, bioinformatics, and high-performance computing. Since joining UTHealth, his focus has shifted toward healthcare data analysis and management, where he explores Big Data and Deep Learning technologies using Electronic Health Records (EHR) data to address clinical and public health questions.

• He leads a team of programmers, web developers, and data managers in implementing software tools for the university.
• His work aims to develop innovative health-data science technologies to improve health outcomes for Texas, the nation, and the world.
